About Department
The Department of Master of Computer Applications (MCA) was established in the Academic Year 2024-25 with an intake of 120. The department offers a Master’s in Computer Applications programme with Industry relevant curriculum for students in the field of Computer Applications. The department has dedicated, committed, and accomplished faculty members supported by technical & administrative staff members. The Department offers well-equipped laboratories with 1 Gbps leased Internet connectivity and an excellent eco-system for Learning.
About the Curriculum
The focus of the department curriculum is to provide a holistic learning approach. The curriculum covers fundamental concepts and aims to build learning abilities spanning various concepts and emerging technologies. Students are allowed to improve their skills on the self-paced online courses on the MOOCS platform. Further, the curriculum includes Internships, Projects, Mini-projects, Soft Skills, Industry visits, and Emerging technologies like Blockchain Technology, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, IOT and Machine Learning. The curriculum encourages students to keep their minds and body fit with physical activities, yoga, meditation, etc.

Program Outcomes
- PO1 (Foundation Knowledge): Apply knowledge of mathematics, programming logic and coding fundamentals for solution architecture and problem solving.
- PO2 (Problem Analysis): Identify, review, formulate and analyse problems for primarily focussing on customer requirements using critical thinking frameworks.
- PO3 (Development of Solutions): Design, develop and investigate problems with as an innovative approach for solutions incorporating ESG/SDG goals.
