Deep Learning on 29th November, 2023

Department of information science and engineering technology organized a technical talk on “Deep Learning” which focused on industry treads and challenges in the field of artificial intelligence for students in final year. There were about 40 participants were involved in this event. Mr. Pramit Saha working as Senior Technology Architect at Infosys was the resource person. He is a seasoned Solution Architect with 19+ years of IT experience, specializing in cloud-native applications, machine learning, and deep learning solutions. Expertise in healthcare, life sciences, and insurance domains. Proficient in Python, NLTK, Scikit-learn, Keras, Tensorflow, Tesseract OCR, Gensim, GloVe, SQuAD, BERT, BART, GPT3, GPTJ, RasaX, AWS Sagemaker, Infosys NIA, and Haystack. Developed AI-powered cognitive platforms and conversational chatbots. The talk focused on the various aspects of recurrent neural networks (RNN), application of RNN in the field of natural language processing (NLP) in the field of medical sciences. The resource person discussed about the various use cases in the other domains such as retail, finance etc. The emphasis on ethical artificial intelligence popularly today known as responsible AI was given to the students.
